Removing the houses, improving the landscape
One of the new ways of living that the architect Frank Lloyd Wright envisioned was one closely-linked to the American landscape. This way, he thought that former houses built on it were in fact damaging the landscape and the houses’ removal would actually improve and clear the surroundings. Thus, he wanted to create buildings very in tune with their environment, that would enhance it rather than destroy it.
