Jugendstil, the german completely new art

The Jugendstil was the equivalent of the Art Nouveau movement in Germany. It literally meant ‘Young Style’ and it derived from the magazine ‘Die Jugend’. It was mainly about floral motifs, arabesques and just like Art Nouveau, it had sinuous lines and derived its inspiration from nature.
