Liberalism and the emphasis on the individual
Liberalism is more than just a political belief, it is a lifestyle in which the inidividual and their freedom stands at the core of its paradigms. In liberalism one can pursue their individual values, thus creating a good society based on liberty, justice and equality. Free-will is a fundamental value promoted by liberals and should be exercised in all activities (either individual or collective), considered to be good only if one is able to withdraw from them any time, without any consequences. Liberalism is a concept often opposed to socialism.
