Types of parcelings

Parcelings within a city can be of two different types: existent parcelings and new/reparcelings. The existent parcelings are subdued to a number of regulations that exist both in the rural (where usually agricultural activities are conducted) and urban (where big densities can be found) areas. The rural tissue is characterized by small opening towards the street and narrow and elongated parcels. Therefore, in order to be optimal for living, the dimensions, opening and other characteristics of these parcels are regulated by the Zonal Urbanistic Plan.
