Chartism and the universal male suffrage

Chartism was a working-class movement in the Victorian England in which The Working Men demanded universal men suffrage that authorities dealth harshly with. In the same period, late XIXth century, early women’s rights movements also emerged and they contrasted significantly with the Chartism movement, having parallel claims.
